HACCP Control Point

Using HACCP Control Point

This section will give you an overview of how HACCP Control Point is used on a day to day basis by different role types in the organization.

From a Worker Perspective

As a worker one of your jobs is to complete HACCP forms when they are due. The system will automatically assign tasks to workers that appear on the homepage when the user logs in. The Tasks list on the homepage will indicate the name of the task, when the task is due and what form is required to be completed. See the Tasks section in the screenshot below.

Workers can also be notified via email that a task has been assigned to them. The screenshot below shows an email notification that has been sent to a worker by the HACCP Control Point system which indicates that there is a form that they are required to complete. Workers can click on the link in the email to access the assigned task in HACCP Control Point.

To complete an assigned task the worker clicks on the task on the homepage or in the email notification to display details about the task. The task will have information regarding why they are being asked to perform this task and if a form needs to be completed a link to the form. See the screenshot below.

At this point the worker can click on the link to the “Housekeeping Checklist” form. The form will be displayed in the browser window and the worker can fill in the required fields. Once completed the form will be sent for verification to a supervisor if it was configured to do so in the HACCP Procedure. See the screenshot below which shows the form filled out by the worker. Also note that these forms could be filled in by a worker in a production environment via a SmartPhone or a PDA as long as they have access to the Internet.

Once the form has been completed the worker then sets the task to complete which will remove from the list of required tasks for the worker.

From a workers perspective HACCP Control Point is simple to use. Click on an assigned Task, complete the form and set the status of the Task to “Completed”. That’s it. There are additional features available that will be useful such as being able to attach files (e.g. digital photographs, voice recordings, etc.) to Tasks. More information on these features will be available.
